One of the greatest and funniest reed bands of the world

All can be traced back to the time when clubs were still
clubs, pants were still made of satin and hairstyles were still super-colossal.
János Kass is a graphic artist. The exhibition presents his
works ranging from children’s books and textbooks to illustrations of Hamlet and the Cantata Profana
The exhibition does not follow a chronological order but the earliest
illustrated book was published in 1952, while the latest are textbooks from 2006.

Renaissance exhibition of museums for technological
history at the Transport Museum from September 18th, 2008 to January 21st, 2009
The exhibition created as a joint effort of the leading
Hungarian museums for technology, and opening on September 18th, 2008 at the
Transport Museum, focuses on the technical accomplishments and discoveries of
the renaissance age.
The exhibition of the Budapest City Archives presents a
selection of the most comprehensive national architectural legacy, focusing on
the representative style of the 2nd half of the 19th century with the
Neo-Renaissance plans of Miklós Ybl (Main Custom House, Opera, palaces behind
the National Museum: Festetics-Palace, Károlyi Palace).
2008 is the Year of Renaissance in Hungary. In the
historical background of the Year of Renaissance - 2008 is the 550th
anniversary of Matthias Corvinus (one of the most important Hungarian kings)
coming to the throne of Hungary.
